Adult Involvement–Adult Participant Requirements

Parents are always welcome to observe at any Troop Meeting, campout or activity and on some occasions are specifically invited to join in the fun. To participate rather than observe, all adults are required to complete Youth Protection Training and provide information to ensure the health and safety of everyone involved. Troop 23 requires the following documentation of our adult participants:

All adults who intend to work with Scouts at Troop Meetings must provide:
• a current Youth Protection Training Certificate indicating completion of B.S.A.’s online training.

All adults who intend to work with Scouts at Troop Meetings, and attend off-site events/day trips, and/or campouts must provide:
• a current Youth Protection Training Certificate indicating completion of B.S.A.’s online training; and,
B.S.A.’s Annual Health and Medical Record Forms – parts A and B with a copy of both sides of your health insurance card.

All adults who intend to drive Scouts other than their own sons to off-site events (day trips, campouts, etc.) must provide:
• a current Youth Protection Training Certificate indicating completion of B.S.A.’s online training;
B.S.A.’s Annual Health and Medical Record Forms – parts A and B with a copy of both sides of your health insurance card.
• a copy of your current driver’s license
• a copy of both sides of your proof of auto insurance card; and
• a completed Adult Information Form.
