Advancement Records
Troop 23 tracks its Scouts accomplishments using TroopMaster. During the school year, Scouts should be reporting to the Advancement/Registration Table on a regular basis to input their records of completed requirements. Scouts can also report completed requirements by emailing images of their pages to Troop 23’s Advancement Chairperson. Scouts, please remember to always include TWO adults on any emailed communications to Troop 23 Leaders. The second adult can be your parent or another leader.
Since campouts, service hours and leadership positions are tied to both rank advancements and other awards, a Scout’s logs containing this data are also recorded in TroopMaster. Entering log information can be a lengthy process and can quickly take up Monday night meeting time. As an alternative, Scouts can also email images of logs to Troop 23’s Advancement Chairperson.
Additionally, Scouts who have earned Totin’ Chips and/or Firem’n Chits should email images of those cards Troop 23’s Advancement Chairperson as well. These achievements are not recorded in handbooks, and the cards and TroopMaster (if the copies have been provided) are the only records a Scout has earned the privileges related to knives, axes, saws and fire-building.
