Annual Dues
Annual Dues of $100 are paid by each Scout (whether he is present for meetings or not). This is largely a pass-through for fees assessed to the troop through the local Three Fires Council and the Boy Scouts of America (B.S.A). It covers the registration of the Scout in B.S.A., a 12-month subscription to Boys’ Life magazine, liability and accident/sickness insurance and a portion of the costs associated with ensuring background-checked and trained leadership.
Families with more than one Scout in Troop 23 can opt to receive a single copy of Boys’ Life and reduce their dues to $88 for the second Scout. Scouts entering the troop in the fall semester will pay dues of $40 for the balance of the calendar year.
Dues are billed in advance prior to the beginning of the calendar year.
