Troop 23 Today
Today Troop 23 remains chartered with the National Council of the Boy Scouts of America by the First Presbyterian Church of Wheaton. Our current Scoutmaster, Frank E. Jeffers III, follows in his father’s footsteps leading 80 Scouts and a team of 40 adults, 12 of whom are themselves Eagle Scouts. Scouts who were in the troop in its early years are now men serving our communities as responsible citizens in education, engineering, medicine, law and finance. As Lord Baden Powell said, “Ambition to do the right thing is the only ambition that counts.” Troop 23 continues to be committed to making a difference in the lives of the young men who are its members and in our community.
