Troop 23 Scout Uniform

Troop 23 is a full uniform troop and each Scout is expected to have his uniform and wear it. A full Class A uniform consists of these uniform pieces:

  • uniform shirt (short- or long-sleeved) with proper insignia,
  • Scout-green pants or shorts
  • belt
  • socks (official Scouting or hiking socks – no white or tube socks)
  • neckerchief (issued by the troop)
  • neckerchief slide (either Scouting issue or made by the Scout)

Scouting provides a Uniform Inspection Sheet that details the proper placement of all insignia and further outlines expectations.

Worn to all Troop Meetings and activities in which a Scout will be in the public representing Troop 23, the Class A Uniform is always worn for traveling to and from Scouting events, during flag ceremonies, and during the breakfast and dinner meals on campouts.

The Class B Uniform consists of the same pants/shorts, belt, and socks, but without the Scout shirt and neckerchief.

Troop 23 maintains a Uniform Exchange for a cost-effective way to stay in uniform.
